What is Covid-19?
In a rapidly growing number of cases, COVID-19 symptoms are lasting weeks or months after initially testing positive for the virus. These people have recovered from the worst impacts of Covid-19 and have since tested negative but still have overwhelming symptoms.
It appears that Long COVID isn’t discriminatory in who it affects. Reports of long-haulers have been experienced by all age groups, by those who were hospitalized as a result of the virus and those who originally only experienced mild symptoms.
Based on our knowledge of the virus and our experience in treating complicated conditions, we hypothesize that symptoms persist due to the body’s inability to properly utilize oxygen and the adverse effects the virus has on our immune system.

Long Covid can be treated!
The human body is a self-healing organism. When you scrape your knee, your blood will quickly work to clot and scab. Your liver has a unique ability to regenerate after injury. If you break a bone there are specific cells that immediately begin to knit the edges back together. Even your immune system is a great example of self-healing.
Unfortunately, when a person is affected by an aggressive virus like that of Covid-19, those regenerative cells are nearly depleted of oxygen and have difficult time completing the task they were designed to do.
At Salt Lake Acupuncture Clinic, we have the ability to target specific cells and tissues and both provide them with the necessary reprogramming and nutrients, and supercharge them to expedite healing and recovery.
